Leonardo da Vinci was renowned for his curiosity. He even conceptualized modern inventions such as airplanes and solar power all the way back in the 1400s. Use your curiosity to solve challenges throughout the Museums! Free with museum admission.

Leonardo’s Lab, 10 am-5 pm
Immerse yourself in the mind of Leonardo da Vinci, the original “Renaissance Man.” In this special exhibit, Explore all the fascinating facets of his work across multiple disciplines in very hands-on ways, as you build, sketch, test and design via activities tied to his era and ideas. Great Gliders, 11 am-3 pm
Make a glider, then test your design. Science Workshop, Second Floor, Springfield Science Museum

Paper Boat Float, 11 am-3 pm
Using only paper, can you create a boat that floats? Discovery Lab, Lower Level, Springfield Science Museum

Fresco Painting, 12-4 pm
Create a mini painting on plaster. Art Discovery Center, Second Floor, GWV Smith Art Museum

Blinking Eye, 11 am-3 pm
Create a model of eye that ‘blinks’ and learn more about how the human eye works. Deco Room, First Floor, D’Amour Museum of Fine Arts

Stick to It, 11 am-3 pm
Use wiki stix and popsicle sticks to build a tower that can support weights. SIS Hall, First Floor, Wood Museum of Springfield History
