Independence Day Celebration - West Springfield, MA

Join us for a free Kid’s Color Run geared for ages 15 and under (accompanied by an adult)! During this event, participants will be doused with color at various stations located around the NEW West Springfield Town Common walking path. No pre-registration is required. Check-in will begin at 11:00AM. Runners, get ready to race at 11:30AM sharp! Be sure to bring your sunglasses and wear comfortable clothes you don’t mind getting dirty.

Between 11:30AM – 3:00PM, the West Springfield Lions Club will be serving hot dogs, burgers, chips, lemonade/iced tea/water, and ice cream novelties! This concession is cash only, with items varying from $2.00 – $4.00. (Please note: the UNICO chicken BBQ will not take place this year.)

At 1:00PM, Illusionist David Garrity will present a free performance, “Magic & Beyond,” a one-person illusion show that features unique, theatrical and visual magic, audience participation, and comedy to a custom-edited musical soundtrack. Highlights from the “Magic & Beyond” performance may include hilarious stunts of apparent mind-reading, incredible and mysterious floating tables, “dangerous” stunts, and a beautiful and artistic illusion involving ordinary Hula Hoops that perform extraordinary magic and a hilarious Houdini-style “Escape Challenge.”
