Comprised of Western Massachusetts natives Mike Smith, Dave Fazio, and Bill DeSanty, ‘Good Acoustics’ is a rock-solid trio of seasoned musicians with the versatility to perform everything from vocal favorites by Eagles, CSN, and America to hard-driving tunes by Journey, Bruce Springsteen, and The Steve Miller Band. They also throw in some pop, country, reggae, Motown, oldies, rap, & even a few Irish pub tunes for good measure!
Mike’s high tenor vocals are reminiscent of Steve Perry and Sting while his guitar playing dazzles the audience. Dave, keeping things solid on bass guitar, has edgy vocals that bring to mind those of John Mellencamp and Van Morrison. Bill rounds out the trio. His drumming style combines the finesse of Phil Collins and the power of Steve Gadd, while his smooth vocal style soothes the crowd.
Their acoustic-style covers span hits from the 1950’s through today with an emphasis on the 70’s, 80’s, & 90’s. Additionally, ‘Good Acoustics’ also offers a tribute show to Simon & Garfunkel and James Taylor. They perform all the Simon & Garfunkel favorites including Sounds of Silence, The Boxer, Mrs. Robinson, Homeward Bound, Cecilia, America, and many more, as well as the beloved hits by James Taylor such as You've Got a Friend, Fire & Rain, Mexico, How Sweet it Is, Shower the People, and Carolina in My Mind, just to name a few…This show is not to be missed!
This performance begins at 6:00 p.m. and it is free of charge. Chairs will be provided and a food service will be available
