Weekly EORC Cross Country Race - Holyoke, MA

Timed, weekly 𝗧𝗵𝘂𝗿𝘀𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝟱𝗞 and 𝟴𝗞 𝗿𝗮𝗰𝗲𝘀 consisting of dirt and gravel roads, circling scenic 𝗔𝘀𝗵𝗹𝗲𝘆 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗼𝗶𝗿 in #𝗛𝗼𝗹𝘆𝗼𝗸𝗲.
The race is open to the public and attracts runners of all abilities.
Age group records are kept, and prizes are awarded weekly to winners in selected male and female categories. The remaining prizes are distributed in a lottery drawing.

𝗥𝗔𝗖𝗘 𝗗𝗜𝗦𝗧𝗔𝗡𝗖𝗘𝗦:
All races are 5K runs (3.1 miles) with the exception of 4/20, 5/18, 6/15, 7/20, and 8/17, which are 8K (4.97 miles).

Weekly runs are held each Thursday evening April 6–Sept. 29, with a friendly “Point Series” competition running from June 29–Sept. 15.

𝗟𝗢𝗖𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡:
Weekly races are presented by Empire One Running Club and hosted at the Holyoke Elks (250 Whitney Ave.). Join us for refreshments inside the Elks following each race (all ages welcome; cash bar available for 21+ only).

(under 17 and 70+ are free).

𝗣𝗢𝗜𝗡𝗧 𝗦𝗘𝗥𝗜𝗘𝗦 (𝟲/𝟮𝟵 – 𝟵/𝟭𝟰)
The 12-week “Point Series” commences on Thursday, June 29 and runs through Thursday, Sept. 14. To qualify, runners must attend a minimum of 10 races (missing only two throughout the series).
The First Place Finisher in each weekly race receives 1,000 Points. The remaining finishers receive points based on this formula:
• Each competitor’s time is divided into the First Place Finishers time, and then that time is multiplied by 1000.|
• All weekly points are cumulative for 12 weeks, and the competitors with the highest amount of points after 12 weeks will determine our Awards Winners.
48 trophies will be awarded, including those for Top 3 overall Male and Female finishers as well as Top 3 Male and Top 3 Female Age Division finishers (1–16, 17–29, 30–39, 40–49, 50–59, 60–69, 70+).

Weekly races at Ashley Reservoir alternate starting locations (top of the hill near the Elks or bottom of the hill near the water’s edge) and running directions (“STRAIGHT” across the land bridge or to the “LEFT” along the water):

• CHOICE ⮕ 4/13, 5/11, 6/8, 7/13, 8/10, 9/14
