NAMI-WM Annual Art Show in Chicopee

The National Alliance on Mental Illness of Western Massachusetts (NAMI Western Massachusetts) will hold an opening reception for its 8th annual art show featuring the work of artists living with mental illness on Tuesday, April 2nd from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Chicopee Public Library, 449 Front St. The reception and parking adjacent to the library are free. The exhibit runs through the end of April.

The idea of having the art exhibit is so that artists living with a mental illness will have a chance to exhibit their talents and show the public how art can be a healing process during recovery.

The exhibit can help raise awareness about NAMI-WM and help break the stigma attached to mental illness.

NAMI Western Massachusetts is dedicated to helping to improve the quality of life for individuals and families affected by mental illness and other brain disorders
