Pesticide Free Apple Picking - Belchertown, MA

Apple picking season is upon us! This season, we will host pick-your-own apples on Saturdays and Sundays from September 14th through October 13th. The hours will be 10am-2pm each day.
These apples are pesticide-free! That means they are lumpy and have spots on them. Some of them are small. They do not resemble the picture-perfect apples we are all used to seeing in the supermarket. That is the evidence of our pesticide-free management strategy.
Pricing will be $12 per 1/2 peck bag (about 5-6 LBS of apples). Due to modest yields, we will have a 2 bags per customer limit (4 bags max for large groups) and no bulk pricing. Cash or Venmo only.
*How to be prepared*
– This is an outdoor activity held at a farm that uses management with minimal ecological impacts. Because we foster habitat for beneficial insects and do not use any insecticides, that means there are bugs around including many kinds of bees! Dress appropriately and use bug spray if you are sensitive to insect presence.
-We will mow the grass but conditions may be moist, so wear water-resistant footwear.
-We recommend bringing your own water bottle and sunscreen.
– There will not be a porta-potty for this event! The picking is up at the top of the hill and the bathroom is a good distance away, in the white barn at the farm entrance. For your convenience, we suggest you do your business ahead of time.
-To adhere to best practices in food safety, pets are not allowed in the field
