Acknowledging pain doesn't erase strength, and tending to it doesn't require "falling apart" in the process. I can help you put your past where it belongs: behind you. I start by strengthening the resiliency and coping strategies you already have, and adding more.
Having achieved that, it is then your choice to delve into the sources of your distress, not by merely talking about past traumas, because telling the story of what happened isn't always enough to truly heal and be free of the experience.
I provide EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) therapy, to help clients disconnect completely from all of the negative ways the trauma affected them. With over 28 years' experience, I provide the combination of compassion and skilled therapy techniques that help my clients to not only cope, but recover.
