The Journey: From the Blues to Advent to Christmas - Southwick, MA - RESCHEDULED DATE

Back by popular demand, the second annual free holiday concert at 7:00 PM on December 8th at Southwick Community Episcopal Church (660 College Highway) – “The Journey: From the Blues to Advent to Christmas”, featuring Michal Hakanson-Stacy and the Gullywhumpers.
Continuing the tradition, the first set will feature blues music from his latest recordings. During the second set members of his previous band, Lyres to Sidon, will join in to share Advent and Christmas music. Michael has picked out some favorites from his three Christmas recordings. Hakanson-Stacy is always on the lookout for interesting meaningful tunes. They range from the Scottish Hebrides to Ireland to Upstate Maine to Louisiana. Last year’s concert was a huge success with a full house. Once again there will be free refreshments (various beverages, gourmet cheese cakes, trifles and other Christmas delicacies – including gluten-free, diabetic and low carb alternatives). Throughout the evening a number of free door prizes will be given away. Everyone is welcome to come and enjoy this unique, festive holiday musical evening. If you are able, please bring a canned good or two to benefit a local food bank. Music will be available for sale.
